As the Year Comes to a Close: A Reflection on the Boost Year

Boosters at Movies

Itโ€™s been a good year at Boostability, and as the year comes to a close, itโ€™s only natural to look back with some sense of nostalgia at the different events that made the time so memorable. In doing so, itโ€™s easy to see just how good the past year has been. Weโ€™ve enjoyed some laughs, helped the local community, and helped our clients find online success. Here are just a few of the highlights.

Holidays and Happenings

Our Boosters will take any opportunity to celebrate the events of the day. And it seems like there have been more opportunities than usual in 2017. We had the traditional holidays: Valentineโ€™s Day, St. Patrickโ€™s Day, Halloween and Thanksgiving. But we also had a total solar eclipse and Boostfest, just to name a few.

Boostability Activities

And what would a year in Boostability be if Boosters didnโ€™t enjoy a few movies? And so many great movies have come out this year. We got Thor, Wonder Woman, Captain America, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. And when Boosters go to the movies, itโ€™s a red-carpet event!

Food and Food Trucks

Nothing better encapsulates the culture at Boostability than the sheer amount of food we eat. It seems like every other day we are celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, or Arbor Day. No matter what the reason, the food we bring in or go and get is always top shelf. Only the best food trucks visit our Orem office. Cupbop, Smokinโ€™ Star BBQ, Fatty Tuna, and Ernieโ€™s Sports Deli are staples of our Food Truck Fridays.

But Boosters donโ€™t just rely on a kitchen on wheels to eat. Some the best meals weโ€™ve eaten this year have come from the pantries and stoves of Boosters who share their own culinary creations with their co-workers.

Games and Such

A movie is fun every six months or so, but sometimes itโ€™s important to blow off a little steam during the work day. Our Boosters shown us how to work hard and play harder. We have intense ping-pong tournaments in our Lehi office and even more intense games of Dungeons and Dragons in Orem.

Boostability Cares

Thereโ€™s more to Boostability than food, fun, and games. Boostability was built around the idea of helping small businesses be found online. But thatโ€™s not where our willingness to help stops. Boostability has done a lot to not only help the local community, but also the global one. In 2017, Boosters donated more than $20,000 to victims of hurricanes that hit the east coast. We also provided gift baskets to children at Primary Childrenโ€™s Medical Center as well as school supplies to Tabithaโ€™s Way.

Even with all this giving, we still take time to help each other and the communities closer to home. Whether it be helping a fellow Booster change a tire, taking care of multiple stretches of highway or cleaning up a local state park, Boost cares.

Boostability Service

In addition to all the wonderful stuff we did when we werenโ€™t working, Boostability also helped tens of thousands of small business reach more potential clients by helping them find success on Google and with their social media. We look forward to helping even more small to mid-size businesses find success online in 2018.
