We all want to be best friends with Google. No, scratch that. We’re in an arms race to be a part of Google’s official entourage – their most trusted, their top 5, a brother from another mother or sister from another mister! You get my drift.

Like any legit entourage, looking good is key to being able to play the part. You have to throw down some cash to even be considered and invest in a style that is easily recognized.

If you want to sit at the VIP table, you have to BE the VIP table.

Simple enough?

I’m sure you have no doubt that people love you, and your Mom thinks you’re something special. But, there’s a big difference between being special and being recognized!

In order to be recognized, you have to develop a unique voice with undeniable charm. You want to create a buzz. In other words, what do you have to share that will compel your followers to share with their followers, and their followers to share with their followers, and their followers…  If that sounds like a hard question, then consider what it is you get excited about sharing and why?

I know when I can’t wait to tell someone about something I found on the Internet or something I heard from someone else, the root of that energy comes from the content’s “cool factor.” If something is easy, fun, creative, and visually compelling, I’ll be all over that.

Integrated marketing was the dawn of a brilliant, somehow not previously obvious idea to bring every aspect of marketing under one roof, leading to the more important realization that content is everything!

Whether you’re a social media marketing manager, utilizing PPC campaigns to generate more leads, or working to boost your page authority, the marketing wheel does not turn without new, relevant content to share. So how about a quiz?

Qzzr is a super easy online tool that will allow you to quickly create a visually compelling quiz. Multiple choice or multiple answer, text or image answers, customizable colors and backgrounds, Qzzr is pretty much the whole package for unlimited quiz creation.

    Hi Caz.

    What a great idea!

I had never considered anything like that before, but I will. I took a quick look at Qzzr and was pleased to see that they have a free plan. I will re-visit and take an in-depth look.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Nathan.

I don’t think I’ve ever built a quiz in to my content before, but I definitely see its value. I’m always seeing those quizzes being shared on Facebook, and I’ll admit that I’ve taken my fair share. Who doesn’t want to know what Avengers character they’re most like? That’s shareable content.

I have actually never even considered recommending writing a quiz, but you are right in its value! I feel a little silly because I love taking little fun quizzes, and can’t think of any reason as to why this ISN’T a great idea! I love it!

When it comes to actually creating a quiz, do you have any guidance about where to go to come up with good ways of picking accurate and fitting quiz results? Sometimes I take quizzes and I end up getting something like “You are a giraffe” in a Disney quiz about spirit animals, and I feel like it is totally bogus. And sometimes you get awesome results that really fit you (ex. your spirit color is yellow because of X-things). Are there good sites for helping create good and accurate quiz results?

Creating accurate quiz results is very, very hard!!!! I tend to get really in depth with quizzes to make sure that you get a more accurate quiz results, but because it can be so difficult to give a fair vote across the board for every result and create answers that pertain to only one result, many quiz makers get really lazy about it and your quiz results end up kind of meh. You can start a free account with Qzzr. You should give it a try. 🙂 Also, Qzzr has a great blog that gives tips on things like that and they have very nice people that will email you back if you ever have a question about the quiz you’re creating.

Quizzes are high engaging pieces of content that also capture leads! It seems to be the best of both worlds.

I love our Avengers quiz. Jamison did a really great job with that.

Definitely get started with Qzzr! It is fun even if you don’t have a business. Just build a personal quiz to send to your friends. 🙂

Quizzes are fun to take!!!! Sometimes I go on Twitter and just search the #quiz hashtag or @Qzzr results and take random quizzes that other people are talking about.

  • Maria Williams, June 8, 2015 @ 9:50 am

uuuuhh that’s a pretty good Idea haha, I just take the random ones on FB but I will take your advise of #quiz or @qzzr Thanks!

    Awh, shucks!

I second everything that @cazbevan:disqus said. If you go in and play around on Qzzr, you’ll see exactly how you can map out answers to outcomes. I normally do all the outcomes first, which helps me in writing the questions, but then after I write all the questions and map outcomes I will go back and edit the outcome descriptions again to ensure a good match. I think the key is in that outcome description though. If you just tell someone that they are Cinderella, they’ll probably disagree, but if you explain why they are Cinderella (based on the answers that you pretty much know they must have selected in order to get that result) it’s pretty much impossible to disagree – unless they’re in denial 🙂

Wow adding a quiz to your site is a great idea that I never thought of. It makes sense that you could show different pages to people based on what their quiz answers are so that it is specific to them.

  • Caz*, July 2, 2015 @ 2:11 am

That’s funny considering I just responded Aww shucks to you on another post!

  • Jamison Michael Furr, July 2, 2015 @ 1:25 pm

    Just thinking the same thing…
