Don’t sweat the small stuff!  Enjoy your holiday season now that we know, officially, that Google has pushed back the Penguin 4.0 search algorithm update to next year.

Google has noted that this update could radically change how businesses show up in search results, and we all know how these announcements leave us biting our nails in anticipation.  Now thanks to Gary Illyes, a Google Webmaster Trends Analyst, who posted on Twitter that he expected this update to roll out before the end of the year, you can now relax and keep calm, Penguin is not coming.

As reported first by Search Engine Land, “With the holidays upon us, it looks like the penguins won’t march until next year.”  They have noted their source as a Google spokesperson who privately interviewed with their site.

At least Google was nice and decided to not mess with our Holiday Season! But if it is really 4.0 then there could be some big changes!

Small blessings that they pushed it to 2016. But I’m holding my breath to see what Google decides to change.

    NOOOOOOOO.

This is awful news. I hope it doesn’t keep getting pushed out because a refresh is really needed to this algorithm.

Yay! Happy holidays to Boost (and the rest of the Internet). While I agree that this update will probably only force websites to even further improve their quality (which is, in my opinion, a good thing), it is nice that small businesses like our clients won’t have to worry about their site being affected right around the holidays.
