What Does Google Think of SEO?

There are a lot of people that seem to have negative opinions of SEO, they think that the work is considered spam and is not going to valuable for their company when it comes to their marketing budget. In the long run they look at it as a waste of resources and money, or even consider it a scam. This is a sad accusation for a lot of legitimate SEO companies out there. Yes, there are SEO companies that are trying to take as much money as they can from you; but if you do your research and take some time before spending any money, you are going to find companies that want to work with you and not against you.
Matt Cutts, an engineer at Google, released a video that addresses Google’s stance on SEO; how they feel about it, and if it really is something that companies should invest in.
